Travel work clothes
Thanks to new travel startup DUFL there’s a new meaning to traveling light — leaving your clothes out of your luggage. That statement may sound outlandish, but DUFL charges you to store and ship all of your business clothes, so you never have to bring anything with you. It’s a digitally-enabled business valet that eliminates any wardrobe considerations as you pack for your next business trip.
DUFL is a premium, luxury travel service — a personal valet that simplifies business travel by shipping, cleaning and storing your business attire. DUFL stores your clothing in your personal DUFL closet, and allows you to virtually ‘pack’ by selecting your clothing items from within the app.
Once you’ve scheduled your trip, you’ll travel – bag free, and your freshly cleaned and neatly packed clothing will meet you at your specified destination. When you’re ready to head home, schedule a pick up from the hotel and we’ll clean your clothes and have them waiting in your virtual closet, ready for your next trip!
An incredible time-saver, this service seems great for those who travel often for work and want to eliminate certain steps required to look great during a business trip. Personally, I would love not having to take out the iron and hunt for a plug immediately upon arriving at my hotel room. Also, not having to check bags is amazing for those who need to bring several suits on each trip. For those longer trips, you can add more clothes to your DUFL closet via the app and then those clothes will be stored after your next trip – just leave them in the bag.
The cost is $9.95 per month for storing your clothes and then $99 per round trip nationwide for delivering and picking up your DUFL suitcase at your destination. The turnaround time is three business days each way via FedEx; it costs $49 additional each way if you need overnight shipping. Of course, you could just ship the stuff to your hotel in advance either on your own or by using a luggage shipping service. However, you won’t have the pleasure of removing laundry and ironing from your to-do list. You’ll also need to deal with shipping back from the hotel, which can cost up to $69 per bag on competing services.
