Travelers auto Insurance Reviews

Tree that has fallen down

I had all of my insurance policies with Travelers of NJ. These included a multiple car auto policy, homeowners insurance, as well as a million dollar umbrella policy. I always paid their astronomical premiums on time. Luckily, I never had to use these policies. I always purchased the best coverage to insure that if by chance, I needed the insurance, I was covered. So I thought...
On June 1, 2010 I was rear-ended.The driver slammed into the back of my car & didn't even make the attempt to stop. I was clearly NOT at fault. My new car was damaged and I suffered several injuries. In addition to whiplash, neck and back pain, my breast implants were ruptured. I was actually in route to see my primary care physician at the time when I was hit. After dealing with the police, I was driven to my doctor's appointment. Once at the doctor's office I was examined and ice packs were placed on my neck and back. I was then instructed to seek immediate attention from a breast specialist. In the meantime, I was undergoing chiropractic treatment for my neck, back, arms and face.
After being examined by the breast surgeon, it was confirmed that my implants had been compromised and destroyed. I needed surgery. The surgeon sent several requests to Traveler's via the PIP protocol. NO one bothered to respond. My doctor, my husband and myself called Michelle Savo, the Travelers representative handling my case, repeatedly. She was nasty and rude with an attitude! She did not cooperate on any level. Here I was, hurt and in an emergency situation and still I could get no assistance from anyone at Travelers.
Travelers never bothered to send a response for pre authorization for my desperately needed surgery.
It is imperative that a ruptured implant be removed. Having a damaged implant will only lead to further health issues and risks. Unfortunately for me, I ended up having 3 surgeries in total due to complications. I spent 4 months in bed due to this accident.
The surgeon removed the broken implants and replaced them with new implants. He did NOT address any reconstruction. I am now left disfigured and in need a further surgeries. In addition, because I was a model, my career was destroyed .I have been out of work since the accident.
Since PIP did NOT pay the surgeon. I had to pay all of my medical bills on a credit card.
I had to hire an attorney to try to get my medical bills reimbursed. In NJ, regardless of whose fault, each person's insurance is to cover their own medical bills. TRAVELER'S, my own insurance, who I have paid for years, NEVER...
