Webcam description

The weather camera is 0.7 nautical miles N of KFLY, and points south (200 degrees). Elevation 6800 feet. The Meadow Lake cameras are located east of I-25 and are mounted on the airport beacon tower. This installation includes views of Pikes Peak, the Palmer Divide, Colorado Springs and the eastern plains. Weather arrives most often from the west. Storms are often fast-moving and can be quite severe. High winds are common. Lee waves and lenticular clouds can often be seen over Pikes Peak. Thunderstorms moving across Colorado Springs are easily viewed with the south camera.
