Travelocity Gnome

The Dallas Stars are hoping fans will get excited about a new promotion with Travelocity and its famous gnome mascot.

While fans can enter a contest that will send a lucky fan to San Jose to see the Stars take on the Sharks, it was the Stars players who were most excited about the announcement.

Following the Stars’ 5-4 win over the Washington Capitals on Saturday the team took off on a plane for Chicago where they would play the next day against the Blackhawks. Riding alongside some of the Stars’ top players was the Travelocity gnome himself.

While Benn got the death stare from the gnome, it was a much friendlier encounter when defenseman Jason Demers snuggled up for some shut-eye.

But as it turns out, Demers and Benn’s encounters with the roaming gnome aren’t limited to the Chicago-bound flight.
