Travel - the Langham
A Facebook application organizes the contest with a whimsical explanation and an overview of the event. Offering a chance for aspirational consumers to win an experience typically reserved for more affluent guests will likely gain much attention for The Langham’s anniversary celebration.
A spot of tea
On June 10, the Palm Court in The Langham, London will serve tea to the winners for the original price of tea at the hotel, one shilling and sixpence. The experience is normally priced much higher.
Until Sunday, May 24 those who like the hotel on Facebook will be able to enter their table reservation requests on the application created by The Langham, London.
Guest names will be chosen at random.
The Palm Court is considered to be the place where the tradition of afternoon tea was born 150 years ago.
Other events at The Langham, London is building anticipation for its 150th anniversary such as a search for historic items from the hotel.
